Terms and Conditions for Legal AI Assist Software

By accessing or using Legal AI Assist software (hereinafter referred to as "the Software"), user agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Software.
1. Definitions
- Software: Legal AI Assist, comprising two primary modules: The Translator and the Analyzer.
- Translator Module: Translates Marathi and Hindi documents to English using GPT AI API.
- Analyzer Module: Analyzes legal documents, providing summaries, citations, and argument points.
- User: The individual or entity accessing and using Legal AI Assist.
2. User Responsibilities
- Lawful Use: Users must use Legal AI Assist for lawful purposes, ensuring that documents uploaded are not in violation of any laws or rights of third parties.
- Accuracy of Input: The Software processes documents based on User-provided content. Users are responsible for ensuring document accuracy and appropriateness.
- Confidentiality: Users acknowledge and agree to use the Software responsibly, particularly regarding sensitive legal documents, and ensure proper handling of data.
3. License and Access
- Limited License: The Developer grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to access and use Legal AI Assist in accordance with these Terms.
- Restrictions: Users may not:
- Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the Software.
- Use the Software to develop or market a competing product.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
- No Guarantee of Accuracy: While the Software uses advanced AI for translations and analysis, the Developer does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any translated or analyzed document.
- Legal Advice Disclaimer: Legal AI Assist does not provide legal advice. The Software is a tool for assistance and should not substitute legal consultation.
- Third-Party Services: Legal AI Assist integrates with GPT AI API, a third-party service. The Developer is not responsible for service disruptions or limitations imposed by this third party.
5. Limitation of Liability
- Use at Own Risk: The User agrees to use the Software at their own risk. The Developer is not liable for any loss, damages, or legal implications arising from the use or inability to use the Software.
- Indirect Damages: The Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
6. Data and Privacy
- Data Collection: Legal AI Assist may collect metadata (e.g., usage patterns, document length) to improve the Software.
- Confidentiality of Documents: The Developer endeavors to handle User documents with confidentiality. However, the Developer cannot guarantee absolute security and confidentiality of documents transmitted electronically.
- User Consent: By using Legal AI Assist, the User consents to data handling and processing as per the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
- Ownership: All content within Legal AI Assist, including but not limited to designs, features, and functionalities, is owned by us and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
- User Content: The User retains ownership of documents uploaded to Legal AI Assist. However, the Developer may retain anonymized insights for software enhancement.
8. Termination
- User Termination: Users may terminate their agreement with Legal AI Assist at any time by ceasing software usage.
- Developer Termination: The Developer may terminate access to Legal AI Assist for any User who breaches these Terms.
- Effect of Termination: Upon termination, the User must discontinue using Legal AI Assist. Any accrued liabilities or limitations of liability will survive such termination.
9. Indemnification
The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to their use of Legal AI Assist, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
10. Amendments to Terms
The Developer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of Legal AI Assist after modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of Legal AI Assist will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

By using Legal AI Assist, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
